B&F Research does not manufacture peptides. We source finished material from established European production and have every batch independently analysed at Janoshik Analytical before it is released. What follows is exactly how that works — and what we deliberately do not do.
Our position
We do not manufacture. We source, we verify, and we show the working.
Independence is the entire point. A supplier that grades its own material is not offering you evidence — it is offering you an opinion.
B&F is a supply and quality-control operation, not a synthesis house. Manufacturing is carried out by established European partners working to a fixed process and a written specification per compound. Our work begins where theirs ends: we take delivery, we quarantine, we sample, and we send that sample to be measured by people who have no stake in the answer.
Every batch we list is tested at Janoshik Analytical, an independent third-party laboratory in Europe with a long public record in this field. We do not run the assay, we do not choose the number, and we pass on the report as it is issued. A batch that misses specification is not re-blended or re-labelled into a passing batch; it is rejected, and it never reaches the catalogue.
This market has spent years running on assurances that cannot be checked. We would rather be the fixed point in it — the same partners, the same laboratory, the same disclosure, batch after batch — so that what you order in twelve months is measurably the same as what you order today.
How a batch reaches you
Four steps, in the same order, every batch.
Nothing in this sequence is skipped, reordered or shortened to meet a delivery date.
European sourcing
Material is bought only from vetted manufacturing partners inside Europe, against a fixed specification per compound. We do not source from China, and we do not buy from brokers who cannot tell us which plant made the material.
Intake & quarantine
Every delivered lot is quarantined on arrival, assigned a B&F lot number and sampled. Nothing is listed, split or shipped while it sits in quarantine — regardless of what the supplier’s own paperwork says.
Independent analysis
The sample goes to Janoshik Analytical for third-party testing. The laboratory reports measured values for that batch, and its report is issued to you as the Certificate of Analysis. We do not write a certificate of our own.
Release & custody
Only a batch that meets specification is released. Released stock is held and supplied in sealed amber vials, labelled for research use only and boxed in tens, with lot number, release date and destination recorded before dispatch.
Independent analysis
What the laboratory measures, and what we report.
Results appear on the Certificate of Analysis as measured values for that batch, in Janoshik’s own report. We do not print specification ranges in place of results, and we do not substitute an in-house number for a third-party one.
Purity — RP-HPLC
Gradient reverse-phase separation with UV detection. Reported as area percent of the main peak, with the largest single impurity stated separately.
Identity — mass spectrometry
Observed mass compared against the calculated value for the sequence, with the spectrum retained in the lot record.
Peptide content & counter-ion
Where determined, salt form and net peptide content are reported, so that a stated milligram figure means the same thing from batch to batch.
Water content — Karl Fischer
Commissioned where the compound or the manufacturer’s documentation warrants it. Water content changes the effective mass of everything a laboratory weighs out.
Residual solvents
Screening for process solvents such as acetonitrile and TFA-associated volatiles, reported against the limits stated in the specification.
Retention samples
A sealed retention sample of every batch is held under specification storage conditions, so a disputed result can be re-tested against the original material.
Origin & import
European origin, correctly declared, properly documented.
Where material comes from, and how it is declared at the border, are two of the most common reasons an order never arrives. We control both.
We import from Europe only. No Chinese-origin material enters our supply chain — not directly, and not through an intermediary who re-labels it on the way. Every partner we buy from can be named, and every batch can be traced back to the facility that produced it.
Shipments move with the paperwork the goods actually require: accurate commodity classification and declared value, a named consignee, a research-use-only declaration, and the batch’s independent Certificate of Analysis travelling with the parcel. Correctly declared laboratory chemicals, of verifiable European origin, with third-party analysis attached, are the least remarkable thing a customs officer will see all day.
We will not promise you that no parcel is ever opened — no honest supplier can, and anyone who does is telling you what you want to hear. What we can tell you is that the usual reasons a shipment is detained — undeclared or mis-declared goods, untraceable origin, no analysis, no paper trail — are not features of ours.
Scope of what we do
We source and we measure. We do not advise.
B&F Research is a chemical supplier. We do not manufacture, we do not conduct or sponsor studies in humans or animals, we do not hold or interpret data on biological effect, and we do not employ clinicians. We will not supply dosing figures, reconstitution protocols for administration, or any guidance relating to use in living subjects — including to verified purchasers.
