Why here
The trade is real, and we would rather state it.
We are not going to pretend a small supplier in Fort Worth competes with Boston on cash compensation. It does not.
What it competes on is proximity. Your lot does not disappear into somebody else’s queue. You will know the customer it ships to, and if a result is queried you will be in the room where that gets explained. For some people this is the entire point of the job. For others it is precisely the wrong amount of exposure, and that is a legitimate answer.
Everyone here is on the same equity schedule, from the fill room to the executive team. That was a founding condition in 2026 and nothing since has argued for changing it.

Flexibility
Five to eight hours a week, arranged around your timetable rather than ours, and re-planned each term when your course changes shape.

Learning
Two days of induction with the chemists whose work you represent, and technical answers in writing that you can keep and cite.

Time
Reading weeks, exam periods and vacations are yours. We plan the term around them rather than through them.

Family
Commitments outside your degree are treated as commitments. Tell us early and the term plan moves to fit them.

Mentorship
One named contact at the site and a scheduled call every fortnight. You always know who to ask, and who answered.

Experience
A written reference from your supervising chemist, and a record of what you ran that stands up to questioning.

Applications go to a person, not an inbox robot. Expect a reply either way within ten working days. Student, ambassador and graduate positions are listed alongside the rest; the university programme below sets out how each of them runs.
University programme
Ways in, before you graduate.

University Ambassador
A named student contact at your institution. One laboratory demonstration and one careers session a term, supported by a termly stipend and expenses.

Student Representative
Departmental liaison for taught and postgraduate cohorts. You bring method questions from your group to our chemists, and carry the answer back in writing.

Summer Internship
Twelve paid weeks at the Fort Worth site. One project, one supervisor, and your name on the report that leaves with it.

Placement Year
A twelve-month industrial placement in analysis or purification for students on a sandwich degree, assessed against your course requirements.

Doctoral Collaboration
Co-supervised projects with a named academic. We contribute material, analytical time and, where the work warrants it, co-authorship.

Graduate Programme
Two years, three rotations, then a permanent post in the group you and that group both choose. Same equity schedule as everyone else.
How we hire
Three conversations, and a bench day.
A short screening call, a technical conversation with the team you would join, a day on site working through a real method problem, and a final conversation about how you would want the job to run. We tell you the outcome in writing, with reasons, either way. Ambassador, representative and internship applications run shorter: one conversation with the team, and a brief written exercise in place of the bench day.
